CH& Client Vera Whole Health Announces New Partnership with Universal Health Services

CH& represented Vera Whole Health (“Vera”) in a partnership with Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS).

Vera is a national leader in advanced primary care.  The organization’s model is uniquely designed to help people achieve optimum well-being while also advocating for sound health cost outcomes.

Universal Health Services (“UHS”) is one of the nation’s largest and most respected hospital management companies.  UHS was recently recognized by Fortune as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies for its record of achievement and performance, and has annual revenue exceeding $10.7 billion.

In May 2019, Vera and UHS announced a new partnership that will add Vera’s advanced primary care services to UHS’ clinically integrated delivery network.  UHS receives an equity stake in Vera as part of the transaction.

As Marc D. Miller, President of UHS, described in the joint Press Release: “The investment in Vera expands our integrated network of services, enabling UHS to extend the continuum of care and deliver superior quality healthcare to more individuals.”  Read more here.
