CH& Attorney Lindsey Pflugrath Appointed to the Pioneer Square Preservation Board
CH& Attorney Lindsey Pflugrath joins the Pioneer Square Preservation Board in Seattle, Washington. She was appointed by Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan to the Board for a three-year term in October 2021.
The Pioneer Square Preservation Board supports the historic Pioneer Square District, a neighborhood considered Seattle’s original downtown that dates back to 1852. The District is protected by ordinance and design guidelines focused on preserving its unique historic and architectural character, assuring the sensitive rehabilitation of buildings, promoting development of residential uses for all income levels, and enhancing the District’s economic climate for residents, employers, workers and visitors.
The prestigious Pioneer Square Preservation Board is comprised of property owners, business owners, architects, historians and human services providers. The Board reviews applications for changes of use and exterior architectural alterations and in the district and makes recommendations to the Department of Neighborhoods, the Mayor, and the City Council.
As the Chair of the CH& Construction Group and long-time resident of Pioneer Square, Lindsey has an in-depth knowledge of the neighborhood. Her work representing design professionals, owners, contractors, and engineering and architecture firms has earned her several distinguished titles and roles in notable organizations including the American Institute of Architects and the Seattle Architecture Foundation.
